Born and raised in Germany, Andrea obtained her MFA in Film Production from the University of New Orleans in 2015. During her studies Andrea worked on multiple student and independent short films with her main focus on producing and directing. Her masters thesis film Us Against The World won the award for Best Screenwriting and Best of Fest at the UNO Film Fest 2015. The film was also selected to screen at the New Orleans Film Festival 2015, where it was awarded a Special Mention for Best Sound in a Louisiana Short Film. Before venturing into film, Andrea worked as a video journalist for a local TV station in Germany for several years. Andrea is a Fulbright alumni.

Andrea is currently a participant of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris, a Masterclass for young producers in Europe, organized by the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, La Fémis in Paris and the National Film and Television School in London.
